About This Chapter
The first Tuesday of every month is the day before the first Wednesday of the month, when everyone goes to the hot springs for a bath. The doctor tells the captain that everyone has to bathe before they can go to the town, and the captain thanks the doctor for escorting them. The captain tells the doctor that he still likes his knight in shining armor, even though he works hard. He also tells him that the doctor gave him soap, which he thinks is "not exclusive," and that he likes the doctor's gentle eye. The Captain tells the Doctor that he will trade him a coral for the one that is transparent. The Doctor tells the Captain that everyone takes a bath before they go to town, so the Captain says that he and the Doctor will go bathe together. He then tells them that the Doctor has told him that everyone must bathe before going to town. He says that the Captain smells rotten, so it is nice of the Doctor to give them privacy. He asks the Captain if he can leave them alone, but the Captain replies that he can. He thanks the Doctor for escorting the Captain, and he says that if the world were to disappear, the Doctor would not notice. He adds that he is with castalia, and that if he disappeared, he would not be able to notice him. He tells them to leave, and they say that they can do so now, since the doctor has told them that everybody has to take a bath first. He gives them a bath, and Captain thanks him, saying that he smells rotten and that it was nice of him to give the Captain privacy. They all agree that the pool is theirs, since it smells rotten. They then talk about the Captain's nose, and how it feels nice to be dressed before getting chilled to the skin. He complains that he has never been so close to a girl before, and asks if it really takes so much to make someone happy. He compares the Captain to a sister for 16 years, and says that she did not know that she was his girlfriend. He goes on to say that he does not want to see her like a sister, because she is his "special girl." The Captain asks the Doctor if he will ever marry him, but he says he will never marry her, because he is not interested in a family, and because he wants "some fun." He tells him to keep his hands in his pockets, so that he doesn't look "interested" to the Captain. He points out that he cannot go
