About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the novel, when the protagonist is a child and his family has all died. The protagonist's father tells him not to let anyone take his body away, and he wishes he could have done so many years ago, when he was a teenager. He hates the girl, who has been recognized as the heir to the throne of the undead. He has tried to get over her many times, but each time she has failed. One day, he plans to wipe out the King of the Undead from the future, present, and future. He can't wait to see her again, but she is too exhausted from her blood-resurrection body to be able to do so. He wonders why he helped him in the first place, and why he didn't want to use his identity to change his life. He tells the protagonist that he has a lot to tell the protagonist, but he doesn't have a face. He asks the protagonist why he hasn't made his face, and the protagonist says he's about to die.
