About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which we learn that the protagonist's father, Santa Claus, has been dead for eight years, and that he has been living in the same room as Uriah Heep, a student of Santa Claus's. Uriah's room is called "the forbidden room" because it contains the "ghostly looks matter" of the protagonist, who has "no memory" of his father's death. When Uriah tries to talk to the protagonist about the ghost, the protagonist tells him that the ghost is not human, but that he is "actually a ghost" . He tells Uriah that he needs to "get him under control" because the protagonist is the murderer, and they need to "do it now ." Uriah, however, is not convinced. He says that he does not hate the protagonist just because he is a human being; he knows that there are "real victims" in the world, but he cannot let his emotions get in the way of his actions. He asks Uriah to run away from the room where the ghost lives, but Uriah refuses to listen to him, saying that he cannot believe that the murderer could have committed such a crime without the presence of the ghost. He also says that there is no way the ghost could have done it, because he could not have seen the look in the eyes of the murderer. He then asks Urijah to calm down, saying, "this is what it takes if i really wanted to stop you." He tells her that he was the one who got his wires crossed, and if she had been friends with him, she would have been like the protagonist. He adds that he came to say good-bye to her today, and he wanted to make sure she was all right
