In this chapter, the monster explains that the majority of the land in the town is not owned by the people of the town, but by the nuns, who are renting the land from them. He explains that many of the refugees from the Middle East and North Africa are returning home, and that the land was originally given to them by their fathers. The nuns are renting it from them, and the family will likely get a good deal of compensation for the incident. The monster then explains that he is a vampire and that he can't move because he is "no ordinary are you" .
