In this chapter, we learn that Shmoop is a member of the government's intelligence service, and that he's trying to find a way to get rid of Yonhap. He's worried that Yonhap will find out his identity and kill him. He also worries that no one will be able to find him if he ever goes back to Yonhap's cell. Yonhap has run away, and no one is going to catch him, no matter how many times he tries to run back to his cell. So Yonhap needs to use his own cheats to get out of this predicament. He doesn't consider himself a "gamer" , and he'd never consider himself one if he were caught cheating. But he does consider himself "a gamer" . And he knows that if he and Yonhap cheat, they're going to get banned from the game. So, he decides to help Yonhap hack into the game so that he can get Yonhap out of the way.
