In this chapter, we learn that Cai Ming-liang, also known as "Motao" , has just returned to school, and that he's in love with "yin cangdong" . We learn that he has been seduced by "Professor lin" and has set out to "do the same thing" to "yin again." He's also learned that "Heroine" has been "terrified" by the sight of him, so she's been avoiding him ever since. The narrator tells us that this is all part of "the wheel of fortune" and that "the lover card" is referring to the "devil card" : Professor lin and "yincangdong." The narrator then tells us about how he has "ruined" "heroine's dream" by bullying her into staying at home and not going to class the whole time.
