The chapter opens with Hiroshi's soliloquy, in which Hiroshi laments that he's not in love with anyone. He'd rather not have to constantly check in on his friends and co-workers. He tells us that his boss, kurotake, is getting ahead of him in his job, and that he needs to be more attentive to his clients' needs. Hiroshi thanks his boss for saving his life, and thanks him for the tablet. He says that if he didn't love him, he might have fallen in love, but that he might've been cut out of love if he had "a weak point" . As Hiroshi leaves, he notices that the boss looks nervous. He asks if he caught him on a date, and he says that they joined the company the same day. The boss says that he looks nervous, but Hiroshi assures him that it's just a "sarcastic stroke" , and they can talk about anything they want.
