About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he and Scott used to be good friends and that Scott is now the coolest dude he's ever met. The narrator says that Scott gave him some aspirin when he went to the drugstore and that he'll go back to the apartment to find out what happened to Nina. He also says that Nina gave him crabs two hours after he left the apartment. He says that he thinks Scott is a "dickhead" and that the crabs were "so trashed" that they probably took some "fat gun" home and forgot them. He tells Scott to go home and take a college boy home with him. Scott says that they're just "friends" and they robbed a liquor store the night before. He asks if they can shut up about Nina while they were in the store, and Scott says he can't, because he doesn't think she's passed out with any dude's "dick" in her "molith" . He then tells Scott that he was once friends with Nina and that they were at a party together a year ago, and that there was a boy there that he could tell Nina was into. He adds that he gave her a "little nudge" so that she wouldn't be in the wrong boy. Scott tells the narrator that he is bringing Joey home to his "favorite aunt nini" , and the narrator says he won't hurt him by telling him that he knows Nina better than he does. Scott then says that if he had told Nina that she liked him, she would have told him that she likes him, and he would have been "pissed" about it. Scott asks if she would be worth it for him to tell her that, and she says no. He goes on to say that she'll "drag you down" if he tells her that he likes her, and then he asks if he can see a " thai guy" over at the apartment so that he can "make shhur" and "stay away"
