About This Chapter
The next morning, Hirokazu finds himself in the middle of a conversation with the minister of defense. He wants to know if there's anything he can do to help him gain access to the ministry's information. The minister says that he's already been able to do so, but he wants to see if he can use his newfound ability to influence the government even more. He's worried that Rori may be getting orders from a bigger organization, and he'd like to know where she's going. Hiroki asks if he has a way to contact Rori, and the minister replies that he doesn't have a way of doing so. He also says that if he does, he'll have to go through the immigration process, and that's not a good idea. He says that the government needs to do more to keep people from coming to the temple grounds. He adds that humans have become so quick and violent that they don't even notice that they're on the grounds anymore. He tells Hiroki that he shouldn't be alone, because he can see all the things that are going on in the country that are causing all kinds of problems. He asks if she can show him her power, and she says that it's inside of her. She tells him that she ruined his life by using her powers to wipe out people's minds. She says that she'll show him how to use his power to destroy the enemy, and Hiroki says that this is all about the future.
