Late from school, Nemo is walking home. He's been up all night, and now he's back on stage. He wants to talk to Krook about the future. Krook wants to know why Nemo is on stage, and Nemo explains that Krook thinks he has special powers that allow him to do things that he couldn't do before. He also wants to tell Krook that they've heard rumors about Nemo's death, and he wants to dispel all of them. He tells her that he has a message for Krook: Krook's messenger, Azeuma, has bribed one of the spiders to deliver a message to the other spiders so that they can pledge fealty to him and his cause. Nemo says that he doesn't care if Krook is from Kendo or not, as long as he can do something for the sake of the cause. He explains that he can change the fabric of his shirt when he touches it, which makes it seem like a part of him. He says that the wall on his shirt is cool, and the pole on it is made of dirt, and that the pole is made out of a special material called kayane, which means "connected to cats." Krook says that they killed their friends, and they're going to kill him too if they can get their hands on him.
