About This Chapter
The next morning, the three of them return to the village to find that the little boy has been taken to the hospital. The father tells them that he is glad that his son survived the earthquake and that he hopes that he will grow up healthy and happy. He says that if he had to exchange his life for his son's, he would be willing to do so. He adds that he has experienced a lot in his life, and that even though his son is not like him, he needs to look out for the future. He tells the family that they have finally found him and that they will help him if he does not survive the earthquake. He also says that many people have offered their help in the rescue, and he is grateful for it. The family rushes over to see him, but he says that he did not want to go because he could not help much. He asks the family to go upstairs, but they refuse.
