Mr. Toudou tells the Governess that he got an "excellent reaction" for her presentation last week. The Governess thanks him for talking about an actual product. She says she's glad to hear that her husband is sick. He's not married, she says, and she thinks he's a middle-aged man who's "skilled at his job" and "quite handsome" . She tells him that she doesn't know his name, but that she lets him "ravish" her while she plays with the toys. She's shocked that she can't stop playing with them, even though she knows they're going to break. She moans and groans and moans again and again, until she realizes that she has to leave the rest of the room to her husband.
