The chapter opens with a flashback to a time when Bing and Ling'er first met. Bing is now a young man, and Bing is still a teenager. Bing asks Bing to help him become a great chef. Bing says that Bing's cooking skills are outstanding, but that his father and uncle are still fighting for Bing because of his talent. Bing admits that he doesn't know if he likes Bing or not. He says that he's always believed in fate, whether it's "mgic" or "shi jiu" , and that after he met Bing, fate began to change for the better. Bing explains that he fell in love with Bing after meeting him. Bing tells Bing that Bing needs someone to care for him, since he practices so hard every day. Bing points out that Bing is a woodcutter, but his father is a treasure at the guild.
