In this chapter, we learn that the most important thing to do in the beginning of a student's apprenticeship is to "condense" the "yin-yang crown" , which is the root of the power of a dual-attribute magician. In other words, a student needs to be able to use both the yin and the yang of his or her own attributes to form a vortex. This is the first step in the process of becoming a master of the arts, and it's important for a student to master the art of alchemy.
