About This Chapter
The empress of the great ni tells her majesty that it is time for him to be crowned king. The great ni dynasty used to hold women in high esteem, but now the women are wearing makeup and crying. She curses the empress for not being able to unite the six kingdoms of her former life. She says that she was the first emperor to unify six kingdoms in her previous life, and she curses her for not having children. She also says that even if she becomes an empress, she still has to marry and have children. There are three types of piety, she says: childless, talentless, and male. She calls for an imperial husband, but he is not her type at all. He is not a "talentless man," she says, because he is a virtue. He calls for the state teacher, but the teacher is not interested in her. He does not want to help her, because she is afraid of giving birth. He tells her that he is willing to marry her, but only if she loves him.
