About This Chapter
The next morning, the protagonist wakes up to find that the road of cultivation is not going as smoothly as he'd hoped. He's tired, he's hungry, and he doesn't know what to do with himself. He tells himself that he has one or two more chances to rise from his current state of despair. He decides to go for a walk, but first, he asks the protagonist if he is scared. The protagonist replies that he is not scared, but that he hasn't slept well in a while, and the protagonist asks him to kill the monsters that he saw in the previous chapter. When the protagonist says that he never asked the protagonist to kill monsters, he is interrupted by the protagonist's response, which is that the protagonist is a "useless piece of trash." The protagonist asks if the protagonist has asked him to "kill those big guys" , but the protagonist responds that he didn't ask him to do so, and that he just wants to eat some food. He feels exhausted and wants to know who the person who appeared in his dreams was. He knows it's not the protagonist, but he feels guilty for not being able to draw well enough to make enough money to support himself and his family.
