This chapter opens with a discussion between the young master and the three divine demons. The young master explains that he has to read through all of the books to find out what they have to say about the sword. He compares the five days of training to his five years of studying. He explains that the most important skill is cultivating one's own cultivation. He also explains that cultivating one skill is more important than practicing ten. He then goes on to say that the underground hall where the yun's father lives is also a good place to practice. The underground hall is where Celestial Meng is supposed to be. He says that once she is gone, her family will no longer be able to hold many important positions in government. This will be advantageous to the family since they will be unable to resist.
