The king's servant tries to convince him to go inside and play a game of dice, but the king refuses. He tells the boy that he has never lost a game, and that he met the king. The boy tells the king that the stories are "wildly exaggerated," but that the king is impressed by the man's wealth. He says that the man is dressed well, has a carriage, and is very well-dressed. He asks the boy to place bets on the round of dice that will be played. The man bets on four, six, and seven, and wins. The young man is upset that the dice are so easy to win and lose, and he asks the king to come and tie them up so that he can tell them who he is.
