In this chapter, we learn that Gubai fled to the side of Xiao-yu and became Gubai's military advisor. Gubai was stationed outside of the borders in his previous life, so he never had the opportunity to apologize for the delay. He also tells us that in his old life, Gubai took over the command of the family's troops after the family was falsely suspected. He tells us, "I need to find some way to alert [him] about han-luo's plot" . The family breaks for a celebratory break, and xiaosi decides to go for a walk. She adds that she'll take the pill every day to help ease his pain. She then tells him about the fact that the army of the Gubai family is stationed outside the border, so it's normal for them to come back from the border when requested. She warns him that people from the "suspicious capital" are talking about the prince's recovery, and she tells him not to take it too seriously.
