He also complains that the prince has challenged the king to a match, not the prince himself, and that if the king had challenged the prince to a duel, then the prince would have been the rightful heir to the throne. This is a trivial matter, and the prince should have accepted the challenge. He then goes on to complain about the pain he is suffering from the beating, and about the fact that the girl has been bedridden for a couple of days after the beating. He tells the girl to write a note to the king saying that he is injured and cannot leave the city for a few days. The girl tells him that the third lady of the palace, the queen's beautiful and elegant daughter, has been invited to the palace to speak with the queen.
