In this chapter, we learn that the ghost of the moon is not afraid of a kitten. Instead, it is afraid of the "big killing machine" , which attracts mice and cats. We learn that this is because the moon gave the killing machine an opportunity to attract a kitten instead of a mouse. We also learn that it is because of this reason that the moon attracts mice instead of the kitten. The killing machine also attracts cats instead of mice. This is because mice are attracted to people and cats attract mice to catch them. The narrator then tells us that he heard Win had told him that her brother was in a coma. He asks her to give him an idea, but she refuses to listen to him. She tells him that she heard that his brother was scared back into unconsciousness and that he should dress up as a ghost and scare him back into consciousness. He tells her that he has an idea. He wants her to kill him and take his place in hell. She says that she will be his "ghost bride" and that she would protect him if he were to die. He says that no one will come to save him, and she screams for him to help her. He screams that he will protect her and will be her ghost bride.
