They then explain that their son was stabbed because he was on "the verge of death". The family also explains that they had bought a "salted raw fish" for their son two days ago. The dishes are "contradictory" and everyone in the "mortal world" could not eat the raw fish. The narrator then explains that he is having hallucinations. He is having visions of his son working hard and helpless for him. He also sees two boys chasing each other after him in the background. He concludes that the "life-and- death matter" relates to the fifth-generation ancestor. He then asks the family if they have a delivery truck ahead. He wonders if it makes sense that things are about to "escape reality's awareness". He also wonders if the person sitting on top of a taxi is related to the person he saw in his hallucinations.
