He asks if anyone hears him, and he says he just wants to ask when he can get out. He tells the monk that he is both a soul that has died and a living thing that is born and dies under the divine. He then asks if it would be good if they both got rid of the old thoughts, so that they could get out of the world and go to heaven. He goes on to say that everything is false, if it is up to the monk to do it. He gives the monk his belongings, and asks if they can use them to untie the monk from the monk. He points out that if the north star doesn't want the old monk to die, he can use it to tie the monk up until he reaches the upper end of heaven.
