About This Chapter
This is the first time that the narrator has been able to use his super-human powers, and he's freaking out. He's worried that he'll accidentally kill himself again. He begs the narrator to put some of his money away so that he won't have to worry about it in the future. The narrator doesn't want to be a burden to his family, so he asks the narrator if he can use his powers for a little while longer. He wants to be able to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. But the narrator can't think of a good reason to ask him to do something that's not really important. He asks if there's a way to use the powers for something more important, like saving his family's reputation. He tells the narrator that if the narrator does nothing, his ancestors will be ashamed of him. So, the narrator asks if it's okay if he uses his powers to kill a bunch of birds, or a girl, or something.
