He doesn't care if they attacked his people or not, it's the death penalty for anyone who intrudes on his realm. He tells Bastard to give him a reason why he should not kill him. It's information that's most important to winning a war, and information is the only thing that can save a person's life. If you're going to join the war, you need to understand what it means to be a friend of the devil. He asks Bastard if he's done fighting in the war yet, and Bastard coughs and says he hasn't been defeated in a long time. He says that each of them is unique and needs to be respected for their abilities. He also says that if they can cut off the soul elements of the enemy, they can stop them from becoming spiritual bodies and using physical attacks against them. This sounds like a good idea, but Bastard says that there's still no absolute in the world, and that one can accept failures as long as one is alive.
