Chapter 39: Ranking Tournament
This is a locked chapterChapter 39: Ranking Tournament
About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the Bureau of Everything is holding its annual ranking tournament. The tournament will consist of a round of elimination, during which the top 1 percent of all teams will advance to the second round. The second round will determine the top 100 teams in the tournament. Although no one will really die in this tournament, it's too brutal for the rest of the teams to handle. They're all too familiar with each other, and they're afraid that they'll get in trouble if they try to take on all the other teams. They don't know how to handle the situation, so they just let the guy handle it for them. This is a crude, crude way of handling things, they say. They want to know why it took so long to get to this point, and why it was so hard for them to get rid of so many of their fellow supervisors. They wonder if they should forfeit the number 666 for this year's tournament, too. They also wonder why they haven't been able to greet all of the other supervisors, since they are ranked so low in the rankings. They joke that this is their chance to represent the holy knights.
