About This Chapter
Back at work, the two women reminisce about their childhoods together. Back in middle school, they used to live in an apartment together at her mother's request. When they were in high school, the women would go out to parties together, but when they got to college, they would stay in separate rooms. The women joke that they're still in love with each other, despite the fact that they haven't been together for five years. When the women are alone together, they talk about their upcoming date, which is next week. They joke about how they'll have to eat dinner together, since they don't have enough food to eat. They're not hungry, though, because they've both recently started working at the same restaurant. They talk about how much they love each other and how they can't wait to get back together. They tease each other about how little they know each other. When she says that she's still a kid to everyone, he says that's because she hasn't matured enough to make love to him yet.
