About This Chapter
When Yumizuki arrives at his work site, he is told that his foreman has been injured protecting someone from falling lumber. He asks why he has been there so long, and when he learns that the foreman was protecting someone else, he asks why the committee chairman is there. He is able to ask the man why he is there, and the man tells him that it is because he has gotten carried off the work site and that he needs to get his hands on the injured foreman. He says that he will not let her take him home, as he is a carpenter, and that the injury is bad enough, but he asks the man if he likes souichi, and she says that she does. She says that they went to a "no-rate middle-girl friends" with him, and he had lots of "girl friends," and she knows that he is competing with her for his affections. She asks him if he would like to confess to her, and if he will take her silence as consent, but she says it would be a waste, as she thinks to herself, "what a waste." She says he should be honest with himself about his feelings, and then she will tell him how she feels about him.
