About This Chapter
Now that he's free, Uriah wants to thank God for sparing his life. Uriah says that he wishes he could have saved his father's life when he was in peril, but that he didn't have the courage to do so. He's grateful to God for saving his life, but he also knows that God will forgive Uriah for prolonging Uriah's suffering. He tells Uriah that he can live as long as he wants, but Uriah will have to give up his soul. He says that if Uriah doesn't give in, he'll punish anyone who mocks his weakness. Urijah says that even if his soul is torn to pieces, his blood will always flow from him. He vows to fight Uriah to the death, even if it means sacrificing his own soul.
