The scene opens with the apostles preparing to kill anyone who opposes their master. Belial is one of them, and he tells them that they are prepared to destroy his tomb. He asks them what they should do with the dead man, and they tell him that they will bring him back to them when the time is right. He begs them to take him away from the place where he is being held.
