The narrator tells us that he's not going to be able to see anything during the wedding. He's going to go to bed and wait for his son to wake up. He says that he took a shower because he was too nervous, and now he thinks that his son is asleep. The narrator says that the night before the wedding, he slept the best night he'd ever slept. He asks his son if he can help him get ready for bed. He tells his son that he smells great, and that's why he was so happy that night. He also says that marriage was always "on the back burner" , but now it's on the front burner.
