About This Chapter
Tsukumo tells the doctor that he's sorry that zeroichi gave him the report. He's also sorry that he didn't stop the crime before it got out of hand. He thinks it's his fault that they were unable to catch up to him, because they all quit working for a living. He admits that he was lucky that he wasn't killed in the same line of duty as one of the other keepers, because it would've been very difficult for him to keep up. Tsukumo says he'll just stop by later. He wonders if zeroichi is afraid of being alone. He doesn't think that he has any important memories that he can't lose. It's just a pain that his body is going to make them rich. When they look at the blood samples, they realize that they're looking at the same blood that was transfused to them by the other keeper. They wonder why they should let them go back to the crime scene, since they've messed up the whole thing. They don't want to kill zeroichi, they say, because his body will make them a lot of money. They think they'll be able to figure out a way to stop the nano machines from working on him, but they never realize that it was the blood of the cop who stopped them. They're shocked, and they hate themselves for being so dramatic.
