About This Chapter
In this brief scene, Whitey wonders what would happen if he were gone and what would he do if he returned. He tells Blackie that they have just parted ways and that he will bring him back. Whitey tells him that the yin-yang family uses paper figures to connect with dead people in exchange for equivalent souls in hell. He says that he is the only person left who is trying to get revenge on Blackie for killing him. He is even more angry than before, because he thinks that even if he could bring Blackie back, he would still feel guilty for his part in his death. He promises to pay any price for bringing him back to life.
