The next time the narrator goes to class, he's met up with another guy who's also in the same class as him. The two of them decide to hang out together. The narrator asks the guy if he has a girlfriend, and the guy replies that he has, and that he'd like to be friends with him. He also asks the girl if she's ever had a boyfriend before. The girl says that she has, but that she doesn't have a lot of male friends. The guy says that's not true, because he has come to realize that women are really good at making friends with men, and he'll teach her how to make guys like her when she gets a boyfriend. The other guy agrees, and they hang out for a bit before heading back to class
