About This Chapter
When she wakes up, Kijoon asks her why she's so upset. She's not strong, she says, but because she was taught to be a human by her father. She doesn't understand why he'd send her away and take her back to him at his whims. She tells him that he's a "snobbish scoundrel" who just wants to "do what he wants" . She asks him if he can take her bag back, but he says he can't, because he raised her "wrong" by sending her away. She says she loves the countryside and wants to go back to it, but she'd rather just live in the city. She tries to get her aunt to tell her to go to school, but her aunt won't let her, saying she has to stay at her aunt's house. When she gets back to the house, she tells her aunt that she just came back from a vacation, and that her rural life is over. She wants to know why she hasn't heard from her aunt, and her aunt tells her that the school principal has been taking a vacation since she left, and she'll be gone for a while. When her aunt asks her if she wants to see her, she asks if she can just go to the school. Her aunt says she can, but when she asks her to stop pointing at her, her aunt says it's too late. She lets her go, and the two of them go inside.
