This chapter opens with a soliloquy by the "god of war" . He tells the story of how he accidentally provoked a beauty, but he didn't realize that it was the "divine emperor" who was responsible. The emperor sealed him off from the rest of the world, and he's been stuck in this place ever since. He's a habitual offender, he says, and it depends on his fate. He compares the black bird to himself and the emperor, saying that the bird is unlucky, but the emperor is lucky. He also says that he should have revealed his identity to the emperor earlier, because it would have saved the bird's life. Shenzhuofeng asks where he is. He says he has been trapped in the "crappy place" for 1,000 years. He asks why he hasn't been able to enjoy his newfound freedom and torment the sick person like him here. He points out that if someone else could have the same level of energy as he does, he would be turned to dust. He adds that if the emperor doesn't treat the sick man, his days will be numbered. He wants to find the bird, but can't find him in time. If the mark is not activated, he won't be able to find him.
