About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter. It is now three months later, and Hiroaki is still in prison for his part in the conspiracy against the government. He is now a valued employee of the government and enjoys listening to the program of the broadcasting station. He tells the narrator that he has been imprisoned for three months and that he is now looking forward to his freedom. He asks the narrator if he can ask him for a favor. The narrator replies that he would like to ask him to settle down as a happy young couple with him and Mina. He says that he already has an eye on someone, and that it is not him. He wants to take a picture of himself with Mina. She is drunk, and he wants to get her into bed so he can snap a picture. He also tells her that his brother and sister-in-law used to get into fights when they got married, but that it was a good thing they had to argue and understand each other.
