In this chapter, Tommo continues to rant about how he can't believe he's still alive. He's not going to let anyone else die, he says, and he doesn't want anyone else to die either. He wants everyone to be able to remember him, so that they won't have to suffer the way he did. He also wants to make sure that everyone remembers that he gave it all away.
