About This Chapter
Back at the cafe, the regulars cry out for food. The waitress introduces herself as a witch and tells them that she's been training to be a witch in town for the past four months. The regulars are impressed by the young woman's beauty and wonder if she is actually a witch. The girl says that she mistook her for her mother and wants to meet with the owner of the cafe. The young woman is dressed in makeup, and the waitress thinks that she is dressed as an old lady. She asks if the girl is younger than they are, and when the girl says she is, the waitress says she looks younger than she is. She says she'll meet the owner when her mother comes in, and then the girl asks if her spell on the cafe has worn off, and she says that it has. She also says that the girl mistook her as her mother, and that she wants to see the owner. She then asks if she can use the red cake she ate the last time she was in town, which is the best cake she has ever eaten, and says she misses the ghost of the cake. She wants to use the white one, but the waitress tells her that it's hard to find the red one now, since it was so good. The old woman says that a witch casts a spell on a cafe to make it difficult for people to find it, because 200 years ago, the shop was owned by a woman who cast a spell to make the place difficult for men to find.
