About This Chapter
Now that the monster has eaten all of the humans in the area, it's time for the South to know what's been going on. The narrator tells us that he's had a lot of fun in the past few days. He asks the narrator to tell the South where the bodies of the dead are. He wants to know if the narrator's nephew is the one who's leaving the area. He's not sure, but the narrator tells him to go ahead and let the South know. He tells the narrator that he can't look for the bodies because he doesn't want to over-look the situation. He also tells him that the car crash was probably caused by the monster eating the people in it. So the narrator asks the South if they know where the body of kitayama is buried. He says that it'll be hard for them to find the body because they don't have the money to go around looking for the body. So they're going to have to go to the South and find out where the dead bodies are buried. It's his fault, he says, because he brought the monster to the area in the first place. Now people are dying because of the monster's hunger and thirst for food. So he tells the South that he still has a lot he can do to stop the monster from eating people. He reminds them that the key to defeating the monster is its "enormous biological abilities" . And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The key is its animal instincts, which is why the monster eats people. So now the South has to figure out how to
