The narrator decides to join the "study god club" , but he's worried that the club won't accept him as a member. He's also worried that if they refuse to let him join, he'll be even more embarrassed. The narrator tells us that today is a "corner's time" . Everyone is supposed to speak in English, otherwise they'll have to leave the room and eat the cake. He doesn't care about the cake, though, because it's a preparation for him to practice his English once he goes abroad. He thinks that everyone should practice their English by watching movies and listening to English conversation. He also thinks that they should improve their English accent by answering English questions in class. He even thinks that he can do this by watching a movie. He wonders if this is the "real strength" of the club.
