About This Chapter
In this short scene, Bai Dong, a piano student at the school, is asked to perform a piano solo by the boys in the school's orchestra. The boys are eager to hear his performance, but he is nervous because he has not yet learned the secret of the switch. He pretends that he does not know anything about the switch, and the boys cheer him on. He tells the boys that a student from the school has applied to play the violin solo in the orchestra, but has not made it. He asks the boys if they know each other, and they agree that they do. They decide to have the boy perform a solo in front of the audience, so that the boy will be able to look at the piano student and see how he feels about his performance. Bai doesn't want the boy to think that he is sad, so he tells him that he will stand in the audience one day and tell the boy that his name is "you walking" and that he has been in trouble for a long time. He wants to know why the boys are avoiding him, and he asks them to take off their masks and get to know him.
